Getting started
What Converge is, who it is for and how to begin.
What is Converge?
A guided path from zero to full-stack AI engineer in 26 weeks. You build your own AI assistant (called FRIDAY until you give it a name) one ten-minute lesson at a time, across 7 seasons and 7 connected projects that anyone can check.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Season 1 starts from zero: what a program is, how a computer runs it, then your first Python. Each season builds on the one before.
How long does it take?
26 weeks across 7 seasons, at about six hours a week. Lessons take about ten minutes each, so you can learn in short sessions, and each season ends with a checkpoint test.
Who can join?
Anyone aged 16 or over. Learners aged 16 or 17 get stricter defaults: their profile and leaderboard row stay hidden unless they confirm, their crew posts are for members only, and they get no late-night reminders.
How do I start?
Open the app and start Season 1. The walkthrough and the first two lessons are free, with no card needed. Create a free account to keep your progress and to use projects, the tutor and the leaderboard.
How learning works
Lessons, labs, the tutor, flashcards and checkpoint tests.
What is a lesson like?
A short deck of cards, about ten minutes, with questions you answer as you go. Every deck has a real end screen that shows what you learned, what you built and what is due next. Nothing plays automatically after it.
What are labs?
Hands-on coding exercises that run real Python in your browser, so there is nothing to install for them. Some labs are solo, with AI help switched off, so you can show yourself you can do it alone.
Is there AI help when I get stuck?
Yes. The built-in tutor gives hints and asks guiding questions instead of handing you the answer, and it stays off in solo labs. It has a daily limit; you can add your own API key in settings to keep going.
Do the AI tools cost extra?
Converge teaches with AI models you can use on providers’ free tiers or run on your own laptop. If you bring your own API key, you pay that provider directly, never us.
How do the flashcards work?
Each deck leaves a few flashcards. Review brings them back just before you would forget them (spaced repetition), so what you learn stays learned.
How does the leaderboard rank people?
Rank comes mostly from checked projects. A tenth of your season XP and a small, capped Agent Arena bonus are added. Nothing can be bought to rank higher, and your row stays hidden until you switch it on.
Projects and verification
What you build, how it is checked and what a receipt proves.
What are the projects?
7 connected projects, each a working part of your assistant that you build in your own GitHub repository. When a project passes its checks, it becomes a receipt anyone can click to confirm the work is real.
How are projects checked?
Step by step. First that the repository belongs to your GitHub account and holds your project’s code word, then that you built it over time across several days of commits, then hidden checks that run against your live app or repository with fresh inputs each time. The last steps show that it stays up and that real people use it.
Do I need a GitHub account?
For the projects, yes: you build each one in your own GitHub repository, and that is how the checks confirm the work is yours. Lessons, labs and flashcards do not need one.
Can my repository be private?
Yes. Public repositories are checked as they are. For a private one, install the Converge Verifier GitHub app on that repository from the project page so the checker can read it; you can remove it from GitHub at any time.
What happens when a check fails?
The project page shows which check failed, what it looks for and how to fix it, with a link to the lesson that covers it. Fix it, push your changes and run the checks again.
Who can see my receipts?
Only people you choose. Projects are made public one at a time, when you switch them on; a public receipt shows what was checked and when, so an employer or a friend can confirm it themselves.
What do I get when I finish?
24 real projects, each proven by our checks, building up to 7 connected season projects. FRIDAY, the AI assistant you built and deployed yourself. A graduation certificate generated from your own work, so no two are alike, and anyone can verify it. A public profile of your proof, when you switch it on. Graduates can also enter Event Horizon and join community calls with other learners. You graduate when all 26 weeks are complete and every project has reached Owned on the proof ladder.
What is Event Horizon?
A challenge for graduates only. Graduates from the same month take on one sealed brief, with 48 hours at most to build it. The top 3 win prizes, a personal recommendation and a certificate signed by the founder. The year’s grand final also includes one-to-one guidance with the founder.
Pricing and billing
Plans, payment, cancelling and refunds.
How much does it cost?
Full access is $4.99 a month or $26.95 for 6 months. Both plans unlock exactly the same things: no tiers, no paid boosts and no paying for rank.
What is free?
The walkthrough and the first two lessons of Season 1, with no card needed. Everything else needs full access.
What does full access include?
Every season and lesson, the labs, the project checks that turn your repositories into receipts, flashcards, the leaderboard and the built-in tutor.
How does billing work?
Monthly is $4.99 a month. It renews every month until you cancel, and access continues to the end of the month you paid for. Six months prepaid is $26.95 for 6 months, paid once: it never renews, access ends after 6 calendar months, and you can buy another 6 months whenever you like. There is no free trial.
How can I pay?
By card, in US dollars. Card payments are handled by Creem, our merchant of record, so Creem is the seller named on your receipt.
Can I pay with JazzCash or Easypaisa?
Not at the moment. Converge is sold in US dollars by card; if your card is in another currency, your bank converts the amount.
How do I cancel?
On your account page, at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the end of the month you already paid for. The 6-month plan never renews, so there is nothing to cancel.
Can I get a refund?
Mistaken or duplicate charges are always refunded. If you live in the EU, the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you can withdraw within 14 days of buying, unless you asked for access to start at once and accepted losing that right at checkout. Otherwise payments are not refundable once access has started. The refund policy has the details.
Where are my receipts?
On your account page, under Receipts. A monthly plan also has a link there to change the payment method and see invoices.
I paid once before. What changes?
Nothing. An earlier one-time purchase keeps full access with no end date, and your account page says so.
Does full access include future courses?
Full access covers this path, all 26 weeks, which is available now. Other courses are planned but not available, and are not part of these plans.
Account and privacy
Who sees what, your data and getting help.
Who can see my progress?
Nobody until you choose. Your profile and your leaderboard row are hidden until you switch them on, and projects are made public one at a time.
Can I download or delete my data?
Yes. In Settings you can download your data as a JSON file, or delete your account and your personal data. A few records we must keep, such as payment records (which tax and accounting rules require) and moderation records, are kept after that; the privacy policy lists them and for how long.
Do you sell my data or show ads?
No. We never sell your data and there are no ads. The privacy policy explains what we keep and why.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Choose “Forgot password” on the log-in page and enter your email address. We email you a link to set a new password.
How do I contact you?
Use the contact form or email info@crovenai.com. We reply within 3 business days.
Technical
Devices, the installable app and fixing problems.
What do I need to take part?
A recent browser on a laptop, desktop or phone. Lessons, labs and flashcards work on all three; projects are easier on a laptop or desktop, and Season 6 runs a model on your own computer.
Can I install Converge as an app?
Yes, on browsers that support it. On a phone, open the More menu and choose Install the app; on a computer, use the install button in your browser’s address bar. The installed app can send the study reminders you schedule.
Something is not working. How do I report it?
Choose Send feedback (in the More menu on a phone, at the foot of the page on a computer); a person reads every note. Or use the contact form with the topic Technical. Tell us the page, your browser and what happened.
No question matches that. Ask us and a person will answer.
